Anand won so many tournaments, which doesn’t make it easy to pick up
his career highlights. He played for the PCA World Title against
Kasparov, but lost this match. Later he became World Champion in the
FIDE-knockout cycle. In 2002 Anand won the prestigious Eurotel Chess
Trophy in Prague, beating Karpov in the finals, while Anand won his
second World Cup in Hyderabad. |
| Expectations CCT 2003: |
Last year Anand did not play in Wijk aan Zee. This year the man from
Madras comes back, with not only the purpose of drinking his favourite
Dutch Chocolate milk, but winning the first prize as well. If he has his
2002-form, he certainly is one of the main favourites for first place. |
